Spring Meadow Contemporary Fine Art Painting

Spring Meadow 30x40
oil/acrylic on canvas
A Salute to Spring by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes
Spring in my step
Spring in the air
Spring!
Spring!
Lingering everywhere.

Spring fever to follow,
But I don't care,
Spring, for new journeys,
I'll meet you there!

Where?
By the garden gate,
You silly thing,
It's an invitation to frolic
So let's begin to sing.
It's Spring!

How I love to watch
The clouds? : - Peacefully –
Peacefully drifted by,
Silently upon the breeze –
They easily across the clear blue sky.

Abstract contemporary art

Broken and Blue 20x24
Resolution 20x20

Twice I have subconsciously created "hearts" from
my abstract expressionistic method. This was created with thick
juicy texture and movement.
Quote; " I don't paint with ideas of art in mind. I see something that
excites me. It becomes my content." (1968 De Kooning)
I love this quote and understand it's meaning.
What does it mean to you?

Abstract landscape by BarbYatesDudding

Spring River 3 24x38
We have had a incredible spring and summer in Colorado.
The run off from snow melt has created beautiful
running rivers where creeks trickled.
I created this abstract landscape with a palette knife and layers of
acrylic paint.

A triptych journey,creating a large oil painting part 2

To continue my journey painting my "Aspen Story" (c)2009;
I blocked in color in my sections on my canvas. I like to paint the darkest focus, first.
This is where the viewers eye perceives depth.
I line up my first (middle) completed canvas next to my working canvas.
I want these to be a continuous landscape.
So on to painting my trees.
Stay tuned for my next blog to see where this journey goes;
