back roads near Taos NM.

Autumn on Blair Ranch

"Autumn on Blair Ranch"

This was paint , "plein air" on location on the Blair Ranch in Evergreen, Co.

This beautiful 360 acre ranch is now part of Jefferson County Open Space.

Wonderful hiking trails and many places to paint. I lived on this property for 6yrs to help care take Mrs Blair.(more on this in future blogs)

Sage was painted while on a trip through the back roads of New Mexico.

The sun was almost down, the clouds were as blue grey as the mountains.

So serene. I love to capture the colors. One of my mentors told me to look and the colors were there.

Well, not...............

it has taken years to see the "colors".(more on this later).
