Aspens Nocturnal triptych 72x48 acrylic/oil This large triptych was created with a palette knife. It is my abstracted image of my favorite aspen grove. I paint in the grove every season and I am always amazed at the ever changing beauty:) for more info: www.bsyatesart.com www.ugallery.com/barbara-dudding |

A triptych journey, creating a large oil painting
This is the second of three canvas blocked in.
I usually use a base color in each section that can show through the finished painting.
i have found useing and shipping a very large canvas can be a challenge, so I love to use several.
This painting is continuous and painted in series.
These aspen trees are from the past Autumn,
they are so beautiful and always changing.
Stay tuned to see this painting evolve
I will post my progress weekly on this blog. Enjoy!
